CHAPTER 11

On the Black Pearl the next morning with Jack

Waking up to a splitting headache Jack groaned aloud. Did I really drink that much rum, he wondered looking at the ten empty bottles on the floor? Must ‘ave cause I feel like that bloody parrot of Cotton’s is cawing in me ‘ead! Moaning loudly, he sat up in bed, swinging his legs to the side he slowly stood up. As fast as he could without falling over he dressed and went outside to the deck.

“Gibbs! Did the crew get cleaned up enough and into the new uniforms I brought?”

“Aye, sir. They’re very clean.” Gibbs chuckled and Jack joined in.

“I know they aren’t to savvy with it but we’ll all have to live with it for a bit. Then they can get as dirty as they want.”

“You are looking pretty clean yourself Cap’in, if I may say so.” Gibbs said glancing at Jack.

And he was right. Before drinking himself into a stupor, Jack had cleaned up with the help of Barkley. He now had no beads in his hair, clean shaven, no coal around the eyes, clean nails, hair washed-but not cut-just tied back in a ponytail soon to be covered by a wig, and some white paint covering his lovely golden teeth. Needless to say he looked like a new man. A Royal Navy Commodore to be sure.

“Thank you and may I say the same to you good sir.” Jack mimicked Norrington’s English accent.

Gibbs laughed and went to get the crew ready go to their new Navy boat.

Jack sighed; he was going to miss his Black Pearl. They couldn’t be taking it because Ketch would recognize it right away. So, he had to leave it hidden under the watchful eye of Barkley. But, a few of the crew were going to stay on it just in case. Hearing footsteps of the crew he watched as the cleanest sailors in the Caribbean lined up on deck. He grinned madly, what a hoot this was.

Oh, the stories he was going to tell you when he saw you again. His mouth hardened into a thin line. Bloody Ketch, messing up my good time with Luv; couldn’t he just find another lass. What’s wrong with leaving me be? He shook his head quickly of the thoughts and turned back to the crew.

“Okay gents. Sorry to make you look like this but we now have to change ships. Black Pearl will be waiting for our return, so don’t worry. Follow me.” Finished, Jack turned and proceeded to lead the way towards the main dock from the spot where the Pearl was hidden.

Seeing the shape of Barkley on the pier he quickened his pace.

“Barkley!” The man turned and smiled at Jack. “We’re here now. Can you show us to our new ship?”

“Follow me COMMODORE Sparrow. Oh! You should probably think of a different name too.” Barkley replied as he led the way to a waiting ship. The crew trailing behind until stopping abruptly at a large blue and gold ship.

“This, gentleman, is The Flying Phoenix, the fastest ship in this part of the Caribbean.” Barkley said proudly as he gestured toward the Phoenix.

“Wow. This is even nicer than I imagined Barkley ol’ boy. I will never be able to pay you back.” Jack breathed amazed at the sight.

“Now, now, don’t trouble yourself. When you get to pirating again, I wouldn’t mind 10% of one of your plunders in payment.” Barkley said grinning.

“We have an accord.” Jack said shaking his hand. Turning to the crew he yelled, “On board you scallywags and get this fine ship ready to set sail in 10 minutes.” The crew rushed to do the order.

“One thing before you leave, you need a different name. What will it be?”

“Hmmm, hadn’t thought of it. But, I kind of fancy the name Clifford Swisher or Commodore Clifford Swisher. Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?” Questioned Jack.

“Never heard of anyone with that name.” Barkley frowned, thinking. “But, that’d be good so if I hear any news I’ll know it’s you. Now, off with you man. You have a girl to save.” He pushed the new Commodore Swisher towards The Flying Phoenix.

Jack or Clifford ran up the gangway to the helm. Waving cheerfully he yelled his goodbye to Barkley on the pier.

Watching as the ship pushed off Barkley shook his head. Jack must really care for this woman if he‘s risking this much to get her back. God speed to you Sparrow, I hope I shall see you once more, alive hopefully, he thought as The Flying Phoenix glided into the horizon.

On the Elaina

Being shut in a cabin was not fun, especially if it was as hot as hell inside it. Bloody pirates! Why can’t they just let me sit out on deck? At least I can get a tan there.

I wonder what Jack is doing, you thought for the hundredth time.

Peaking out a porthole, you saw that the sun was beginning to set.

Great, now I’m going to have to eat supper with that leech. Yuck! All his small talk as if nothing is wrong. Oh, everything is just dandy, I have been kidnapped and am going to be some weirdo’s bride. Lucky me!

As if on cue, the door opened and Ketch walked in. Giving him a distasteful look you turned around and kept looking out the window.

“Now, dear, don’t go getting snotty or anything. I won’t hurt you, unless of course you try to do something to me.” Ketch said with a snarl. “Come and eat, you don’t want to be all skin and bones for your wedding. My brother likes some meat on his ladies.”

You wrinkled your face with contempt, but you were hungry so you sat down at the table where some food had been set out.

Eating slowly, you realized that Ketch hadn’t said what his brother was like or his name so you asked him.

“Excited now? Thought so, and his name is Jason. He’s very clean, proper, and likes submissive women, but not all the time, he likes a fight every once in a while, if you get my drift.”

Your eyebrows shot up in surprise. He was making you marry his sicko brother who got off on weird things. So much fun, you though sarcastically and decided you couldn’t eat after that information.

“Don’t worry about not being able to meet him soon because we’re not too far from my home as we speak. We should be there by late tomorrow night. I will now leave you so that you may rest up until we dock. And don’t get any ideas of escape because you’ll be locked up under extreme guard until you marry. See you soon-SISTER dear.” And with a gallant bow he left the cabin and locked it.

Sitting at the table, you were in shock. What have I done to deserve this? What’s with men of this time thinking they need a woman? We’re independent enough. Aren’t there some back in 2004 that are happy to be alone, without a wife to “pester” them, and make them go broke? Why can’t it be any different here? I don’t even know this man and now I’m expected to submit to him and be with him the rest of my life? No sir-ey bob. I’m not going down that easily.

What’s a good plan? Hmmmm, you thought, Jack will hopefully be along to help eventually, but for now I should probably agree to everything. So I won’t be suspicious.

OMG! I still have the dagger Jack gave me, you thought as you felt your pocket and touched the weapon. A grin spread over your face. This was going to be a wedding no one would forget, you thought maliciously as you formed your plan. After all, you had until tomorrow to perfect it. Just a few minor details when you got a look at what Jason’s house was like and stuff like that.

Sitting back in your chair you outlined the plan while singing softly a song Jack had taught you.

“We’re devils, we’re black sheep, and really bad eggs! Drink up me ‘earties yo ho!”

With Commodore Swisher aboard the Flying Phoenix

As night settled in, the “Commodore” stood at the helm steering the ship. Approaching him slowly Gibbs worried about Jack. He hadn’t eaten or slept much lately. All over a lass too, hadn’t this proved what he’d said for so long? With a woman onboard it was bad luck, and that’s what they’d had. But the woman had crept into all the crew’s hearts and they wanted to save her. Even Ana Maria like her, and they’d become friends.

Tapping Jack on the shoulder Gibbs said, “Why don’t you go get something in your belly and some sleep? It could do you good. Especially if we be fighting tomorrow.”

“Guess you have a point there. I have been a bit tired of late. Ana Maria! You and Gibbs take turns at the wheel tonight. If you see anything, no matter what, come and tell me. I will retire now.” With that the “Commodore” snatched some food from the galley and went to his cabin.

Taking off his coat he laid down on the bed. Shutting his eyes he pictured you in his head. Smiling and laughing your image danced in front of his closed eyes. He grinned cheekily remembering the intimate times you had with him and had been smiling.

We’ve had great times Luv. And they won’t be the last; we’ll have many more in the future. I’m gonna get you back if it’s the last thing I do.

With that he fell into a deep sleep, dreaming of you and him on the Black Pearl.

CHAPTER 12

Formulating and going over your plan again you settled back until the Elaina docked in Columbia. Jason Ketch my husband, my ass, you thought ruefully. Bloody men, they thought they knew everything. If I want a husband I’ll get one. Lovers on the other hand can be nice; you daydreamed of Jack and the time with him on the Black Pearl.

Those were VERY nice memories. Good times, good times. Hopefully we’ll have more trysts and time together, you sighed longingly.

Late that night

The Elaina sailed into the Columbian harbor at about midnight and docked quietly. As you felt the boat bumping the dock a knock came on the door of the cabin. Looking up you saw John Ketch enter after unlocking the door.

“I assume we’re here. But I wonder where in Columbia are we exactly?”

“The town is Barranquilla. Lovely place. Come, we must go to Jason’s house tonight. For tomorrow you shall be married.” He said taking your arm and dragging you onto the deck.

He roughly shoved you down the gang plank to the dock and towards a waiting carriage.

“Oh how sweet, we’re traveling in style.” You said sarcastically while rolling your eyes.

“Stop being a bitch and let’s move it.” Ketch growled pushing you inside the vehicle. Getting in himself he rapped the ceiling of the thing and it began to move quickly through the streets.

Enduring a long, bumpy, stuffy ride with Ketch was not your idea of fun. The whole way he babbled on about how “great” life was going to be when you married. Balls, diners, luncheons, etc.

You grimaced at the thought of having to dress up and make stupid small talk with stuck up, high class women. That chilling thought made you shiver.

Seeing you do that John stopped talking long enough to realize you hadn’t been listening entirely.

“Doesn’t sound very nice? You’ll like it eventually. Oh look! We’re here. Out you go.” Pulling you out of the carriage violently he started up the large white steps to the house.

And it was a large Victorian house four stories high. Large white steps led up to the double, red door. There were many windows covering the front of the mansion with myriads of flowers and shrubs filling the grounds. Taking in a quick breath at its beauty you took in your surroundings. Never in your wildest dreams had you imagined this nice of a house to be here.

“This is an amazing house.” You gasped.

“It is isn’t it? I’ve always loved being here. Hurry, we need to get you settled so you can be rested.” Still gripping your arm he led you into the entry full of vases and paintings and up the wide, plush stairway to the second floor. Walking down the long hallway lined with portraits you assumed were family, he stopped and opened the door of a room.

Shoving you inside John closed the door sharply.

“When it’s time I’ll come and get you. A maid will help you with your wedding dress when the time comes. The wedding will be tomorrow at 12pm (A/N: don’t forget, it’s 12am so tomorrow isn’t that day they were talking about being the wedding so there’s actually 30 hours till it). Pleasant dreams my dear.” With that John Ketch left after locking the door.

Cursing loudly you flopped down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Well, this is just bloody great. I’m supposed to sit here calmly until the wedding. Talk about boring. A pleasant surprise you be appreciated right about now. And that’s what Jack is great at, you thought as a memory came back to you.

Flashback

The Pearl had been sitting still due to lacking winds for about three days. Having nothing to do the crew had resorted to playing cards, drinking, and telling stories. Normally, you would have liked that but you’d kind of worn those options out.

Laying in the crow’s nest on your back you stared at the cloudless night sky in boredom.

“Love, love, love. Love, love, love. All you need is love. Cheer up sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean, to a daydream believer and a homecoming queen!” You sang without enthusiasm.

“You gots a nice voice there luv.” Jack said, shaking you from your list-full singing.

“Thank you. Any signs of the weather changing?”

“Not as of right now. Are you bored?”

You snorted, “No, I’m having the time of me life. Sitting up here alone, staring at nothing for hours.”

“Okay, okay I gets the point. And, I have a solution.” Jack replied taking your hand and pulling you down the netting and lifting you onto the deck.

Slipping his arm around your waist he led you to his cabin door. Suddenly he covered your eyes with his hands.

“Jack? What are you doing?”

“Shhh, luv. If you look you’ll ruin what I have planned.” He whispered in your ear sending shivers down your spine.

With a hand still over your eyes, you heard him open the door. Guiding you inside he closed the door.

“Alright luv. You may open your eyes.” Jack said removing his hands.

You looked around. Glowing candles covered all available space, and on the table was a cake with (your age) candles burning on it. An elaborate dinner was set out around it with champagne ready to drink.

“Oh my goodness! What is this?”

“Happy Birthday (your name)! Do you like it?” Jack asked, worriedly gauging your reaction.

“My birthday? You remembered?! Oh Jack! Nobody has ever done anything so wonderful for me!” You squealed delightfully as you hugged him and gave him a kiss.

His arms tightened around you as he deepened the kiss. You ecstatically kissed him back enjoying the taste of his mouth. Finally breaking away you hugged him again. Turning you went and sat down at the table.

“What do you say to eating? First, we’ll have dinner. Second, dessert.”

“Dessert? Do I get some cake or you luv?” Jack asked suggestively.

“Well, doing this does get you something. But, you’ll just have to wait and see if it’s what you want.” You said, giving him a come hither look. “Now sit down and eat, luv.”

Jack took his place across from you.

JACK’S POV

I can’t believe I pulled it off! She’s so happy. The happiest I’ve seen her in a while. Considering the curse was still with you (A/N 2: this is before the Bracelet was taken off and the curse gone, when there was only lust between you two).

I must be getting soft. I’ve never cared about a woman like this ever before. Captain Jack Sparrow - a softie. Who would have thunk it? Now I get why people say there’s only one person out there for you. I’ve found my other. I love her. But, what can come of it? Pirates don’t usually marry or whatever, well, only the pirates I’ve known.

Jack frowned, and then realized that wasn’t necessarily true. Pirates did marry. Bootstrap did, and he really admired ol’ Bill Turner. Good man, good pirate.

Smiling again, he realized it wouldn’t be so strange to marry you. It was logical and he did want to have a little Jack Jr. to carry on the pirate tradition. The Black Pearl was intended to be handed down through generations and he needed a son for that to happen. She’s the only woman that I’d ‘ave kiddies with too.

An idea popped into his head then. When the curse was lifted, and if you ended up loving him, he’d ask you to marry him. Living with, loving, and making love to only one woman for the rest of his life didn’t seem so bad anymore. I’m gonna ask her to marry me, that will be a day no one will forget.

YOUR POV

After dinner was done you and Jack cut the cake. Handing you a piece he jokingly smeared frosting on your lips in the process. Grinning, you did the same to him.

Leaning forward you boldly licked it off. He quickly caught you in a kiss and licked the frosting that was on your lips.

“I’m having a thought here Jack. There are many more interesting ways to eat cake than with silverware.” You hinted.

Eyes wide he looked at you questioningly.

“We’ll need to be rid of your jacket, shirt, and effects of course. And I’ll show you.”

Readily complying he shed his body of the undesired articles exposing his tanned, muscular chest.

“Lay on the bed, luv.”

He did and you climbed on him so that you straddled his hips. Taking a finger of frosting you lazily traced a sweet path down his chest. Then followed your finger with your mouth, making Jack groan with want and need.

It was going to be a long night.

Back to the present

Still lying on the bed, a tear trickled down your face. Quickly swiping it away you turned over miserably.

Bloody hell, I miss him so incredibly much. None of my experience from the future could have prepared me for this.

Hearing a clock begin to chime the hour, you realized it was four in the morning. Standing up you got ready to sleep, but realized there were doors that opened to a balcony. Tying your robe you walked over and tried the doors. They were unlocked.

Thinking you could escape this way you quickly opened them and ran out onto the small balcony. Then realized that escaping wasn’t an option.

Since you were facing the harbor on a very tall cliff. Looking down you became dizzy with the height and back away a bit.

Staring at the harbor, you watched the early morning flecks of sun begin to light the sky. Suddenly you became aware that a ship was approaching Barranquilla city and it looked similar to the Royal Navy ships you’d seen around Port Royal. Hope flared.

CHAPTER 13

Captain Jack Sparrow alias Commodore Clifford Swisher stood at the helm of the Flying Phoenix as it sailed into Barranquilla harbor and stared at the large mansion at the top of the cliff.

Luv is probably up there. I wonder if she is watching, Jack thought hopefully. He closed his eyes and let the cool harbor breeze was over his body. Breathing in deeply he sighed gustily at how tranquil and calming the scene was. Totally opposite of what he was feeling inside. Opening his eyes he realized the Phoenix had made it into the harbor and was ready to dock with his permission.

“Dock the boat sailors!” The Commodore commanded of his crew as he made his way to where the gang plank was being lowered. Walking down it his fancily booted feet hit the dock.

A small man quickly ran up to Jack’s side, the man’s white powdered wig bobbing upon his head as he ran. Jack chuckled softly but stopped as the man started to speak.

“Hello sir. I’m Barranquillo’s harbor master Mr. Degas." (A/N 1)

“Good morning and my name is Commodore Clifford Swisher and this here is my ship and crew.”

“Well then Commodore, welcome to our town. But, it’s a schilling to tie up your boat here at the dock, and of course I’ll need to know your name, but I already know it. And I shall need to know your business with us.” Degas finished as he pulled out his docking log and prepared to write down the necessary information.

“Alright then; here is the payment and my name is Commodore Clifford Swisher (A/N: I’ll be referring to him by this name throughout the chapter, if I switch it back I’ll make sure you know). My ship is The Flying Phoenix and we are here on official Royal Naval business to be taken up with Lord Jason Ketch.”

“Very good, very good sir…err…Commodore. If you would like to inform your crew that they may stay here then you may follow me and I’ll get you up to meet with the Ketches.” Degas rambled while gesturing wildly (kinda like how Jack usually does).

“Thank you.” He turned back and went onto the ship again. Looking around he located Gibbs. Going over to him he said, “Gibbs, they’re goin’ t’ take me to where Ketch is. Now, I want you, Bob, Fred, and Caleb to come with me, but the rest of the crew to stay on the ship and be ready at any time to leave. Let them know of this and make sure they stay on watch for any funny business that might happen. Meet me on the dock in five minutes.” With that Clifford turned and went back to where Mr. Degas was waiting.

“I hope it is not too impolite of me but I will be taking four of my men with me.”

“Perfectly fine Commodore.”

“Ah, here they come now. Mr. Degas this is Gibbs, Bob, Fred, and Caleb. Sailors, this is Mr. Degas.” Clifford introduced and they all murmured their hellos.

“Nice to meet you all. Now, if you’ll please follow me we will get in the carriage and head off.” Degas said and turned towards an awaiting carriage to get them into it.

Clifford waited next to Mr. Degas for all of the sailors to get in with Gibbs being the last.

“I hope you know what you’re doing. After all, we’ve never been treated this nicely anywhere. Not sure if I like it.” Gibbs remarked for only Clifford to hear as he finally got into the carriage with Clifford laughingly quietly. He soon got in too and waved bye to Mr. Degas.

It was a tense, silent thirty minute ride to the Ketch mansion. To the sailors it felt like forever. Being bumped and jostled was not their idea of fun. Give them a ship with sails any day and they’d be happy. Finally the horror ride ended and they were at the Ketch mansion. Stepping out they stared in wonder at the magnificent house. Leading the way Clifford mounted the stairs and rang the bell. Soon a servant opened the door and taking their names and business let them inside to wait. After about ten minutes of waiting the lot of them were shown into a large room that was obviously a personal study.

The walls were a dark burgundy with a mahogany desk, five matching chairs surrounded it and a large maroon couch was there also. A large fireplace stood in one wall and windows faced the sea overlooking the cliff Clifford had see coming into the harbor. A very nice room.

“Sit down where you can gentleman. Lord Ketch shall be in in a minute.” The servant said with a bow and left the room while closing the door.

Clifford took a seat in one of the chairs. Soon the rest of them took a seat around the room save for the one behind the desk.

Ten, then fifteen minutes went by with silence. Nobody really knowing what to say about the situation. Finally, the door opened startling them all.

“Sorry, sorry. Terribly sorry to scare you all but I just had to deal with something of urgency. I’m getting married tomorrow so you know.” The evilly infamous Jason Ketch said as he arrogantly entered the room.

Anger welled up quickly in Clifford’s chest and his eyes darkened. All he wanted to do was rip out this man’s heart and feed it to him. Married, my ass! That’s my woman you’re talking about you bloody toad! Realizing he couldn’t let his feelings show so much so, Clifford stuffed them away for later and put on an indifferent façade.

Jason Ketch was a handsome man, tall, blond, and blue eyed, he seemed like every woman’s dream man. Clifford studied him and realized that underneath this man’s docile looking face there was a hardened, evil man who would do anything to get ahead in life or get what he wanted. He must be careful in his dealing with him. (A/N 2)

“Well gentleman, welcome to my humble Barranquillo. I’m interested in learning why you are here. I mean, I can’t remember the last time the Royal Navy showed up on my doorstep on such short notice.” Jason said with a wickedly sweet smile and sat down behind the desk. “So, who are you and what can I do for you?”

“Thank you for seeing us Lord Ketch. I am Commodore Clifford Swisher of the Royal Navy and this is some of my crew.” Clifford said gesturing towards the rest. “We’re here just to check out how your security is and deal with any other problems you may be having here. Routine, you realize. After all it’s been a while since we’ve been here.”

“So it has Commodore. And I thank you for caring so much to make it your business to come here and help us. I would appreciate some help with something; in fact your timing is quite great. As I said as I came in I’m getting married today and I could use your help with security for it. Will you be willing to have you and your men help?”

“Of course, we would be delighted.” Clifford said a smiling forming on his face. Jason Ketch was making it so easy to rescue you.

* * * *

Still standing on the balcony you had watched the whole time the mysterious ship had sailed into the harbor and docked. Although you couldn’t see the carriage come to the house from the ship you stayed at the railing and stared out into the sea.

The time was moving closer and closer towards the wedding and fear was slowly creeping up on you. Gripping the railing tightly you tried to breathe deeply.

Suddenly you realized you could hear voices coming from somewhere. Leaning farther over the railing you searched for the source and discovered an open window kiddy corner and one floor down from you. Then the voices stopped and you began to panic. How am I going to figure out what to do or if Jack’s here?

You sat down on the stone floor of the balcony. After about 15 minutes you heard a voice again and one answering it. Listening carefully you realized it was Jack. You knew his voice anywhere. Hope and love bubbled in your chest and you almost yelled out to him. Luckily that didn’t happen, but then you realized that he had been addressed as Commodore Clifford Swisher of the Royal Navy.

How can that be, you thought. The answer came soon after, duh! It’s not like he could come flouncing in here as himself. It’s kind of a dead give away then. God, I can be so daft sometimes.

Catching a bit more you realized that Jack or Clifford was going to be at the wedding. He better do something before it’s too late, you thought grumpily. At least he’s here though, I don’t know what I’d do if he hadn’t come after me.

A knock sounded at your door startling you from your trance. Rising you ran to the door and stood behind it.

“Who is it?”

“Ma’am? I’m here to get you ready for your wedding. I’m going to unlock the door now and come in. So don’t try anything cause there’s guards out here.”

Disappointed you couldn’t escape you stood back as the door was cautiously opened to reveal a maid. She slowly walked into the room shutting the door after her.

“Hello. I’m Lucy. Now, let’s get you washed and dressed.” She said taking your hand and leading you towards another locked door. Lucy tapped on it and you heard a lock click open. She opened the door and you saw that it led to a large room with a porcelain bath in the middle and three more maids waiting to help you.

Oh God, I’m in for it now, you thought as you were lead to your wedding preparations. Please save me Jack.

* * * *

After speaking with Ketch and working out all the little security details Clifford and his men left the house. They were to return in two hours in order to receive the guests.

Going back to the ship Gibbs got the men together for a meeting.

“I know you’re all a little grumpy from being so proper but it’s about to get better. We’re to help guard the wedding ceremony.” Groans could be heard around and Clifford grinned. “I want you ten to stay on the ship and make sure everything is ready for our immediate departure whenever. The rest of you will be coming with me to securitize the thing. But, as soon as we have my luv then we’ll be booking it out of here. Then if anyone tries to stop us then do whatever necessary to stop them. So, let’s go.” He finished and they all headed back to the Ketch mansion.

“I’m going to kill both of those Ketch bastards if it’s the last thing I do.”

* * * *

All too soon you were ready for the wedding. The maids had left you locked in the room once more.

When I pictured marriage I always thought I’d be able to pick out the dress and everything. This is crap. Who wants to wear a dress that weighs a hundred pounds? I can hardly move. AAAhhh!

It was true. Your dress was huge. It had big puffy sleeves that made the bodice part of it look really small. And that part was covered in tiny jewels that looked expensive so you didn’t want to touch it. The skirt was heavy too and made you look like the Liberty Bell when you moved. Not very nice.

If I had picked this it would have been strapless and light. I feel like I’m carrying a body around with me, you thought. Not realizing that John Ketch had entered the room.

“You look lovely my dear.” He said, scaring you.

Giving a shriek you turned around and saw who it was. Giving him a glare you said, “Yeah I bet. What do you want?”

“It’s time to go poppet.” John replied sticking out his arm to escort you.

Dread came swiftly and you almost tried to run, but knew with the outfit you wouldn’t make it far. Swallowing your pride and fear you took his arm. Jack better come through or I’ll kill him meself, you thought.

Leading you downstairs he passed the front door and out the front door he escorted you to the front garden greenhouse. It was a large glass building built especially for nice occasions like a wedding, go figure. You looked around franticly, if something’s going to happen it better be soon. What if I do end up marrying the fish? That wouldn’t be right.

“Here we go.” John said suddenly making you see that you were about to walk down the isle.

All the guests were local gentry with their families. There were a bunch of them too; about one hundred to be exact and they were all watching you. You gulped. Suddenly one of them caught your eye. He was standing up by the alter, obviously a groomsman and the Commodore Clifford Swisher, but there was something familiar about him. Studying him you saw he was wearing a Royal Navy uniform and a grave expression. Totally out of place considering everyone else looked happy and excited. You watched the man as John led you down the isle towards the alter.

You had almost for gotten about the Navy man and so he winked and it dawned on you. It was Captain Jack Sparrow there to save you.

* * * * *

A/N: Dum, dum, dum! I hope you like that cliffhanger.

A/N 1: I named the guy Degas after the French painter.
A/N 2: If you’ve seen the Johnny movie Once Upon a Time in Mexico I want you to picture Jason Ketch like the leader of the Barillo Cartel in the movie (I’m not sure I got the name spelled right). He’s that evil.
