Ebony

Ebony (or just Ebs for short) is a 22 yr. old lass from Finland. She's a pleasant, mellow girl who likes talking to people and to ramble. A lot. Well, what else is there to say, except that she's a total and utter Cap'n Sparrow & Johnny Depp obsessee. Never before has a character in a movie made such an impression on her that the dashing Captain Jack did when Ebs saw the trailer of PotC for the first time around July '03. It was love at first sight. Unfortunately she only had money to go see the movie three paltry times, even though her addiction desperately craved for more visual of Jack Sparrow. But now grasping an idea of the Captain's charming persona, oddish idiosyncrasies and a clue of what went on inside his seemingly slightly scrambled, bead-adorned and dreadlock-filled head, Ebony decided to give a shot at PotC. She'd already written some fics in other fandoms since 'round 2000, but PotC was the biggest challenge yet. As a result she came up with "Call of the Caribbean", and has been hooked on writing ever since. As mentioned before, loves to chat and ramble, so feel free to email if anything comes up!

Captain Cheesehead

Hey, I'm Bree (aka Captain Cheesehead). I'm a history junkie and specialize in early explorations of the Americas, pirates, and the Civil War which would probably explain why my favorite movies/book are Cold Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean. I like all kinds of music and that is mostly what influences my writing. My favorite author is Mark Twain. I'm from Viera (near Cocoa Beach), Florida in the USA and I enjoy attempting to surf, writing, drawing, roses, long walks on the beach...... Hehe. As you can tell I sometimes get carried away in thought.

Ellie

Ellie is a carefree young lass dwelling in the lush tropics of Southeast Asia – and has very clearly been to Singapore. An avid writer, actress, dancer, violinist, singer, and artist, this girl is normally found on stage, in front of the computer, or lost in her own world. She enjoys making people laugh, pirates, and relaxing on the beach with a book or journal in hand, and is notoriously known for being a terribly hopeless romantic. She was caught up in the world of fanfiction around the year 2003, when she, for the first time in her entire life, had actual access to a computer. It started out with reading, but when Pirates of the Caribbean (and the wonderful Jack Sparrow) came into play, that soon changed. Having been a writer for most of her life (but not being quite confident about it), she was inspired, like many others, by Ebony’s “Call of the Caribbean” story to try her hand at You-fiction. Ellie has loyally followed her favourite authoresses to this site, where she finally worked up the courage to submit her work mid-2005; soon after, she was shocked to find that she was offered a spot here, on the Crew. An amiable young teen, Ellie does like to help if you have any questions or simply need a girl to talk to, whether in real life or plot notes. Contrary to what you may have heard, Miss Mary is no longer a silly little seventeen-year-old and is, in fact, a nineteen-year-old, almost-sophomore in college. Sometimes labeled a grammar Nazi, Will Turner expert, and village pervert, she can be found spamming the OM Boards sporadically, since school and a near-constant state of confusion keeps her more or less occupied. When not busy not-studying for her midterms and finals, she likes to piddle around in PhotoShop, write a little bit here and there, and eat hundreds upon hundreds of Mike and Ike’s. Her history with POTC began way back when (as in ’03), with a new computer, a lovely story, and a new friendship. Since then, she’s been sucked in to the point of no return and wouldn’t really have it any other way. Sound interesting? Hit her up, yo. She’s pretty much a hoot, if she does say so herself. Ta!

Kaellana

If there's one thing you can be certain of about fandom, it's that there's always a Brit lurking in one of the dark corners. Meet Kae, a silly little seventeen-year-old (taking over Mary's former role) from London, England. A stickler for punctuation, with an over-fondness for chocolate biscuits and spontaneous rhyming, she is one of the newest and more eccentric members of the team. She first dipped her toes in the Caribbean fandom way back in 2003, but didn't stumble across OM until the following year. It was here her adoration of all things pirates began to grow, as well as her love for the community and the friends she'd made within it. Her greatest obsession would be none other than the good Commodore, James Norrington, and she's always keen to beta anything featuring him, to talk about him, or generally do anything involving him in any way, shape or form. Although being a friendly sort of person, she's happy to talk to you about whatever you can think of. Drop her a line if you need a hand, or just want to chat!
