CHAPTER 6 – Lost Love And Memories

Jack Sparrow was sitting at his desk in his cabin sipping from another bottle of rum. He was deep in thought with a worn leather bound book spread open in front of him. Through the window behind him, the moonlight sparkled on the ocean. The Pearl was making good time on its way to meet Drake leaving Jack some time to himself.

Placing the now empty bottle on the edge of his desk, Jack started looking at the book. In between the open pages there was a folded piece of parchment. Jack picked up the paper curious and started to read.

Dearest Jackson,

It pains me to write this letter but I understand it must be so. I miss you already and it has not been a week. My father is upset at the loss of two fine crewmembers but understands why. I look forward to the day that you return for our wedding.
As I look out to the blue ocean from the crew’s nest, I remember the day that you confessed your love for me. We were in the middle of a nasty storm. I had almost had fallen overboard and you caught me. As we came out of the storm, you told me that you had loved me since you came aboard. I knew at that moment, I wanted to be by your side forever.
I love you my pirate and I count the months until the wedding. You know where to find me.

In Eternal Love,
Your Jessa

Jack sadly whispered the name silently. He slowly turned the page of the book opening to another letter.

Captain Jack Sparrow,

Your precious lover is dead.

Captain Xavier Evander Drake, Captain of the Devil’s Wrath

Staining the letter was dried old blood. Jack closed his eyes like in a prayer but kept turning the pages until he reached the very back. There was a map of the route in which they were already traveling. Written hastily on the side in his own handwriting were the words, I promise to avenge her death.

* * * *

You awake again to darkness. You have long lost track of time and you feel dirty all over. Between periods of consciousness, Drake tortured, beat and at one point you suspected that he even raped you. You were broken and he knew it. However, you knew there was more to come and this was mild compared to his level of madness. Knowing there was nothing you could do, you again surrender to the darkness and the dreams that have begun to haunt you.

There is a thick fog surrounding the ship in the middle of the ocean. Your father is standing at the helm and your mother besides him. You and a man are looking over the side railing. The crew is still and silent. Suddenly a shout cries out from the crows nest. The storm has hit. The ship is tossed and thrown like a child unhappy with a toy. You struggle to hang on but a huge wave over powers you. You almost go over but pair of big strong muscular arms is preventing that. You found the man who was beside you pulling you back up.

“Jessalyn,” He starts, his chocolate brown eyes sparkling.

“Jessa.” You interrupt him.

“Jessa,” He begins again. “Luv, I must confess, I love you.” He finishes obviously embarrassed about the whole thing. You smile as your heart leaps.

“How long Jackson?” You ask him.

“Since I came aboard, possibly longer.” He states as if he’s not used to revealing deep feelings.

“I love you too.” You answer him breathless as he’s pulled you close and kisses you.

* * *

Jack has now closed the book and put aside the rum. He has finished getting ready for sleep and is curled up in a ball between his sheets. He has surrendered to sleep. But dreams have begun to haunt him.

He was walking off the ship into Tortuga. He was bound determine to captain his own hard earned ship before settling himself down. He was glad that his now former Captain had understood that. He had reached his favorite inn, The Faithful Bride. He paid the innkeeper for a room. He walked up the small staircase in the back to the rooms and reached the door number he was given. Upon opening the door, he sees you, sitting on the bed.

“What are you doing here? Does your father know?” Jack asks you clearly surprised. You roll your eyes.

“Of course he knows. Do you really think I’d be able to sneak off my father’s ship undetected?” You say with a sarcastic tone. “Besides, I had to see you. Just one last night before you go off to the horizon to be a Captain. I need…” you were interrupted by a kiss. Before either of you knew it both of you had fallen on the bed still kissing.

“Shh luv, there are more important things to do than talk mush all day,” Jack smiles at you keeping you occupied with more kisses and starts tugging on the hem of your shirt. You answer him back by stripping him of his effects one by one saving the belt for last. He continues this game by slowly undoing the bandana that ties back your hair, emulating a waterfall in slow motion. You pull back slighty, causing your shirt ties to fall provocatively open and smile coyly at him.

“Two can play that game.” You state, undoing your long braid making hair fly out behind you. You then reach for his shirt and slowly but seductively pull it off of him. Once shirtless, you ran your fingers lightly over his now bare chest watching him with great pleasure as his body shivers with your every touch. You see many scars that his young body has collected over the years including the two bullet holes he received just two years before. You catch his eye as it sparkles mischievously back at you. He reaches behind you and you feel your back hit the mattress. He returns your previous favor. You reach and undo the only thing that that’s keeping him from being totally naked, his pants. He does the same and both of you surrender to the passion.

* * *

You have surrendered to sleep again, only to be awakened shortly after.

“Come on and get up girl! The Cap’n says to move ye.” A slightly brutish man says waking you from the grogginess. You struggle to get up finally finding your balance. Impatiently he grabs you practically dragging you to the undisclosed location.

“And who might you be?” You ask him trying to come up with an escape plan. He stares at you making you feel like a big juicy steak to a starving dog. However, he only grunts in response.

“Ah.” You say having that option fly out the window. He stops short making you trip slightly forward. He yanks you back in annoyance making your already broken shoulder hurt worse. You slightly wince at the sharp pain.

Standing in front of you is your ex-crew mate Hyde and a couple other crew members that you hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting.

“That’s enough, Diablo. I’ll take the girl from here.” Hyde states. The man who was holding you, who you assumed was Diablo shoved you into Hyde’s grasp. You slightly wince as he grabbed you.

“Come on, Captain.” Hyde roughly shoves you ahead of him, taunting you with your title. As he positions you in front of him, he grabs something out of the pouch by his pistol. He ties on the blindfold and starts leading you away.

It takes a few twists and turns, but you finally stop. Hyde pulls open the door and shoves you in. His heavy footsteps follow you in and he closed the door. Once he was satisfied that the door was secure, he comes close to you. He removes the blindfold and you have to blink to adjust your eyes to the brilliant light. He still has you in his grasp as he ties you to the bed that you happened to be standing by. You come to the realization that you’re in Drake’s quarters. You watch Hyde as he checks to make sure you are secure and then leaves.

* * * *

Jack Sparrow was at the helm looking through his telescope. He could see Drake’s ship, Hellion, in the distance. He allowed himself an almost evil smile. Drake would get what was coming to him. He would make sure of that.

CHAPTER 7 – Realizations & Fire Island

You slowly and patiently start working the knot in the rope around your wrists. You slightly wince as your hands are sore from the torture from Drake but you are determined. You keep going as you start to feel the knot loosen. Finally, you rejoice in the fact that you are now free. With a careful execution, you silently walk over to Drake’s desk and slowly pull open the first drawer. You shift through the papers searching for any indication of his plan. As you search with no success so far, your fingers brush something that feels like rough leather. You pull it out and find it’s a worn journal. A small book encrusted with sea salt and the edges smudged with ink and ash. There is something familiar about the journal but you aren’t able to place it right off.

You carefully open it up to see an index with a list of dates by each notation. You turn to a random one and start to read, hoping to gain some sort of knowledge against Drake.

Captain’s Log   August 23, 1717
The Devil’s Wrath

It is a calm and sunny day. Completely innocent to the events I fear will happen soon, if not today. I fear for my family. My wife, Victoria, is sure that the crew is suffering from a bout of cabin fever as we’ve no wind for days but I fear it is not so. I must tell my daughter her future is at stake. If this mutiny is to happen, Xavier is sure to be blamed. Of this I’m certain. He is the only one who’s interested in my daughter’s future crown. I fear Xavier will do anything to control the crown even if it means killing me, Victoria and possibly Jessalyn too. To prove my suspensions against my first mate, he has been pushing a marriage contract between him and my Jessie. I have repeatedly refused as Jessie is already engaged to Jackson Smith. Alas, I fear all is not well, I must send for my wife. In the meantime, I will write a declaration that I will give to Jessie to prove her status if I am right, but for the love of all things holy, I hope I’m wrong.

Signed,

His Royal Majesty Alex James Ryder the First, Right by Blood, of the Pirates of the Caribbean, Atlantic Ocean and all other Pirate Realms, Defender of all Pirate Territories, Captain of the Devil’s Wrath, Pirate King

You slowly exhale a shaky breath you didn’t know you were holding. This was your father’s captain’s log. The entry you had opened up to was the day of the actual mutiny. You struggle to hold back the memory of the mutiny that haunted you while you shifted through the log. As you read through all the expeditions your father went on or headed, an idea started to form. You now understood why Drake had your father’s log. It held the secrets of the Fire Topaz. He was going to use the Topaz to seize your crown and get rid of Sparrow. You still didn’t understand the full circumstances of the hatred between the two men. All you knew was that they had a confrontation and something happened that made Jack Sparrow want revenge. You know now that the paper that Drake had claiming you were his, was fake. You were interrupted by a noise outside the cabin. Drake was coming.

You quickly get back to the bed post where you had been tied and retied yourself to the bed post. As you do so, Drake’s footsteps come nearer. He opens the door as you finished. He sneers at you in greeting.

“It’s time to go, dearest.” Drake says as he unties you and leads you out of the cabin.

* * * *

Jack Sparrow watched as the shoreline of Isla del fuego or Île du feu approached. It was known to the English as Fire Island. Most avoided it as a volcano was constantly erupting right in the middle of the island. The island was made up of the cooled lava. Surrounding the island was a deadly ring of coral that claimed many ships if they weren’t careful. Jack wasn’t worried; the Black Pearl would make it. He just had to time the tide. He saw Drake’s ship already docked. As he turned the wheel to follow the current that would lead them over the reefs, he thought back to the dreams he had been having since the adventure began.

He knew who exactly the Pirate Queen was, in fact before she was queen, and only a princess, they were engaged. Of course, he was sure she didn’t know he was her former fiancé. However, he left to become a captain, and her ship was mutinied. He thought she had died, but once news reached him of a coronation, he knew he was too late in getting back. He could never have her again, she was the Queen of the Pirates and he was but her subject.

* * *

You were being pulled through the jungle like forest and twigs were snapping under your feet as you stumbled through. The rope had become like a leash and the man leading you, you found out was named Snayke. As Drake stopped to make sure he was headed the right way, you stumbled into Snayke. He grunted in response and glared at you. Once again you were off through the brush, Drake leading the way slashing through the plants with his sword and checking the map.

* * *

Jack Sparrow docked his ship and selected a few men to stay with the ship. The rest followed him off the ship. They were joined by some crew from the Queen’s ship as well. The two crews set off following the obvious path. Jack hoped they weren’t too late.

* * *

You were lead through a series of lava tunnels with markings on the walls. You didn’t however, have time to admire them because if you stopped, you were pulled into walking again which in turned made the rope binding your hands together slice into your skin. Finally, you came to a large opening that glowed orange and yellow.

Covering the cavern floor was piles of topaz, Spanish doubloons, gold coins, and many other jewels. There were chests full of coins and other assorted items. In the middle of the piles was an altar. There was a platform in front and the table where set in a holder was the biggest topaz. It was the size of a small boulder and burned into the middle was flames. The topaz was known to all pirates as the Fire Topaz. It held powers to grant the desire of the person who held it in possession. Not only did it grant desires, it would make whoever held it, the most unstoppable, unbeatable and powerful person on earth. The topaz glowed a brilliant orange.

Drake stopped in front of the alter, and his crew spread out. The men guarding and leading you led you up next to Drake. He gives you a smile that gave you chills.

“I have led you all to the Isla del Fuego. The Fire Island is the dwelling place of the legendary Fire Topaz. Behind me is the actual Topaz.” Drake announces to his crew.

The pirates seem to hang on his every word. As Drake goes on, the pirates gasped and cheered at the appropriate times. You take in the cave looking for a possible escape. However it seems that the only way out was the way you came in and it was very exposed. You decided to wait this out trying to come up with a plan.

* * * * *

CHAPTER 8 – Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold

Jack Sparrow walked into the cave his men and the others behind him. Toby and Will come up next to him.

"What's the plan, Jack? You can't just rush in there with no plan, mate." Toby says softly enough so it wouldn't echo off the tunnel walls. Jack stopped and turned to face them.

"You don't think I've thought of that. I've got a plan but I need you to trust me. I have ever given you reason not to trust me?" Jack says looking at both men. Will rolls his eyes. Toby smirks.

"Fine, I'm behind you all the way. Let's go." Toby says as Jack nods. Jack turns back around and starts mixing in with Drake's crew.

You don't notice Jack coming in as you are watching Drake. He's muttering something under his breath and holding the topaz up. He places it down on the altar and pulls the rope that has become a leash. You are now so close to him that you can read the inscription on his coat buttons.

"Due to the powers of the Topaz, I plan to make her my wife and become the Pirate King." Drake announces. You try to struggle away but there is a force stopping your every effort. You are stuck to the spot. His crew cheers.

"The Topaz will grant my desires." Drake tells you. He pulls you closer to the altar and takes his knife out. He cuts into your arm and moves it so it's over the topaz. He watches as three drops of blood fall onto the glowing stone. He cuts his own arm and makes sure three drops of his own blood fall onto the stone as well. He then takes the knife and mixes the blood together.

"Due to my desires and the Topaz's powers, I pronounce us…" Drake starts but he is interrupted by a cough.

"I really don't think that's a good idea." Jack Sparrow said interrupting. He walked up to the front.

"Why? I've gotten what I wanted." Drake said. You however take the opportunity to slip a knife out of Drake's belt and use it to cut through the ropes.

"Because mate, did you realize that the volcano has been usually silent during this? Don't you think that once you get what you came for, that the volcano will erupt?" Jack said raising an eyebrow. You by now had finally cut through the ropes and slipped the knife back into Drake's belt.

"The volcano won't erupt until I tell it to." Drake said sounding like a spoiled child. He then takes the opportunity to pull you close to him. You practically gag at the smell of his breath. He leans down closer to your face and you bring your knee up and hit him hard. Drake doubles over and groans. You then push him down on the ground with a smirk.

"Take that Drakey." You say using the hated childhood nickname you had bestowed upon him as a tiny girl.

Drake's crew didn't take lightly to their Captain being knocked out by a woman. They immediately engaged Jack's and your own crews in a massive sword clashing fight. You go up to Jack.

"What the bloody hell where you thinking?! I had it under control." You state. Jack smirks.

"Sure didn't look like it luv." He states cockily. You scoff at him and by pure instinct, turn and face the pirate who was about to attack you.

"Can we discuss this later Captain? I need to take care of some garbage." You pull the sword that you had stolen from Drake up and start to parry with the other pirate.

Will Turner had come up next to Jack as they both fought another two pirates.

"That's what I call a royal flush." Will states amused as you take your opponent down. Jack rolls his eyes.

The crews just meshed together and to any outside observer it would look like chaos. Instead it was a perfectly choreographed dance. Drake had awoken in the midst of all this. You had found him and cornered him. However, Drake wasn't about to let that happen again. You two fought with a flurry of past grudges and the motivation to win. Neither of you were going to budge. Both of you knew one had to break but until that time, it was a battle of endurance, strength and revenge.

Jack watched while fighting Hyde, the man who had betrayed your trust. The eerie sense of precise movements you fought with brought him back to the man who taught him everything, the Pirate King. He decided as he put the last thrust in to the air that somehow knocked Hyde unconscious; that he was going to get you back one way or another. This journey had proven to him, that even the best pirates can't always escape fate.

You were getting tired but giving up was not an option. To give up simply meant death and that wasn't on your to do list. You fought with your hardest blocking or advancing on his every move. He was getting weaker but once one of you gave a little, the other one fought harder. Neither of you was moving very far as you danced in this endless tango.

"It's a pity you won't give up. I promise the rewards will be so much better if you do." Drake said with a false charm. You glare at him in response.

"Too bad, I decide your fate, Drake." You trust at him harder catching him off guard at which you advance.

You parry on you gaining more ground as you go. Drake and you go around the cave and you see that most of the other crew is either down or dead. Jack's crew is helping yours get the last of Drakes. Drake notices and sneers.

"It's only by luck." He states. You fight the urge to roll your eyes. You didn't feel that dignified a response. You have him backed into a corner and you feel someone behind you. Taking a risk, you glance behind you to see Jack there. You nod at him and turn back to the man who has caused you the most pain.

"This is for my father, my mother, and I." You punctuate each word with a stab and turn on your heel as Drake falls dead.

Moments later, you walk up to the Topaz and place it back on it's stand. Pricking your finger, you place the drops on the stone and lean into it.

"I wish from my heart, my dreams come true." You stand up call your crew and head back to your ship.

CHAPTER 9 – A Love Reignited

(A/N: Be nice please, my first smut. :))

You sit at your desk a worn journal in front of you. As you flipped through the history that was your father you felt the emotions that were buried deep inside you come to a boil. How dare your father keep things like this from you only to find out the logical reason. You continued on this roller coaster until you reached the last few pages of the journal.

Captain’s Log   August 21, 1717
The Devil’s Wrath

It’s another beautiful day on the Caribbean. The official announcement of my daughter’s engagement was announced in Saint Brigitte today. The pirate realm seems to adore Jessie. I wish I could tell my daughter and my crew who Jackson Smith really is but I’m afraid of a mutiny if I did that. Jack is a very fine man and I couldn’t have picked a better one for my Jessie. I hope one day Jessie will know the truth about Jackson Smith.

You were stunned, it all made sense. Jack Sparrow was your former fiancé. You were pissed at both men now. Your father had kept this from you and Jack for letting it continue. You had a score to settle with Sparrow now.

Thoughts of what you were going to say when you got over there ran through your head as you ordered your crew to ready you a rope and to alert Captain Sparrow of your arrival. Once satisfied that the crew had done your bidding, you grab a rope and swung over to the waiting crew of the Black Pearl. You nodded your thanks as you head to the Captain’s Quarters where Will Turner had informed you that was where Sparrow was.

Once reaching the door you push it open with your foot and barge in.

“Now luv, ever hear of knocking?” Jack asks you cockily. You glare at him.

“Not like it’s nothing I haven’t seen before.” You shot back. Jack’s eyes rose in amusement and confusion. You try to hold back a victorious smirk as a flicker of recognition darts across his eyes.

“What do you mean by that luv?” Jack asks as you step closer to him. He steps a little back in self-defense.

“I meant Sparrow what you and my father conveniently withheld from me.” You spat disgusted that you once loved this man who lied to you. Jack’s face twisted into a confused expression.

“I’m positively truthful about this. I don’t know what you’re saying.” He states taking another step back as you step closer your eyes blazing. You pull out from underneath your bodice and smirk as Jack’s eyes follow your hand. You pull out a necklace with a ring attached to it like a pendant.

The ring was a band of solid gold that had the initials JS and JR inscribed into it. The center stone was a diamond and on each side was an emerald, your birthstone. Jack’s eyes widened as he recognized the ring.

“You kept it?” He whispered. You smirk and nodded.

“Like it did any good. You were supposed to come back.” You state. Jack nodded solemnly.

“Aye, I was. I thought you died in the mutiny.” Jack said. You roll your eyes.

“I didn’t obviously. You knew I had to move on and take my place. I had to do it alone Jack! You were supposed to be there.” You snipe. Jack comes closer.

“I tried luv. But once you were crowned you knew there was that difference.” Jack says.

“You still could have told me who you where!” You stated. Jack’s eyes were almost pleading.

“I had my own reasons for that luv.” Jack says not giving you any more information. You sit down on the bed.

“Well, drown those damned reasons Jack., I was your fiancée. We were going to get married.” You start to break down but Jack pulls you up.

“I know. I thought you wouldn’t want me now that you were Queen.” Jack said. But instead that only made you feel worse and you did the only thing you could think of and you slapped him, hard.

“Ow. What was that for?” Jack asked bewildered. You glare at him.

“For not coming back.” You state and turn to leave.

Jack catches you around the middle and pulls you closer to him. Before you can protest, his lips have found yours and immediately his hands are elsewhere. Time as you know it has stopped. The only thing that matters are you, Jack and what he’s doing to you. Your coat has hit the floor along with Jack's and both of your effects. You thread your fingers through his dreadlocks and you free the rest from the bandana. You let it drop to the floor only breaking apart to get some air, as you watch as he works lower and unties the belt that you had been using. You tug at his shirt freeing it and pull it off of him. He does the same and pushes you towards the bed. You feel your bare back hit his mattress and somehow your thoughts are again muddled as he continued his assault of kisses down your bare front. You shiver in pleasure and your hands work his own belt and sash.

Soon enough Jack goes lower and you are relieved of your pants as you worked on his. Succeeding, you throw the pants aside and start your own assault of kisses and caresses down his front. His muscles shivered with pleasure at your touch. Jack let out a moan and you smile before he captures your lips and plunges a finger into you. You gasp at the sudden feeling and moan as he moves it with a perfectly timed rhythm. Then he gives you a slight smirk as another finger slips in beside the first and you shiver so close but yet so far. You hands are gripping the edge of the bed, your knuckles white from the effort. You moan and gasp as he withdraws his fingers and plunges completely into you sending both of you shooting to the stars and above.

EPILOGUE – A Coronation

You stand waiting looking out to the crowd in the middle of Saint Brigitte. Flanking the aisles standing at attention where both crews of the Devil’s Wrath and the Black Pearl. Alissa was up on the dais that had been erected for this special occasion. Your blue coat fluttered in the slight breeze as you wait for the signal. You were in full captain uniform with the decorated blue over-jacket. Your hair was down however prancing in unison with your jacket. Added to your effects was a ceremonial sword. Your fingers were adorned with rings of symbolic meaning. The brightest being those on your ring finger of your left hand.

Soon the single gunshot was fired into the sky signaling you and Jack. As you walk up to the dais from opposite sides you give him a wink as he gives you a smile. You both could be mistaken for twins only you were in blue and Jack in red. You first hand your sword to Alissa and Jack then hands his sword to Gibbs. Both of you kneel as Alissa then taps your shoulders three times each with the sword you had just given to her. Gibbs doing the same thing to Jack. After that is done, you both turned and head to the thrones that had been set up and sat in one each. Gibbs and Alissa give a speech to the gathered crowd.

An hour later, Toby and Will come up the aisle carrying the crowns that have been in your family for generations. They stop in front of Gibbs and Alissa and they blessed the crowns and walked towards you and Jack. They place the crown on your head then followed with Jack’s. You both then stand.

“I present to you all for the first time, His Royal Majesty Jack Sparrow the First, Right by Blood, of the Pirates of the Caribbean, Atlantic Ocean and all other Pirate Realms, Defender of all Pirate Territories, Captain of the Black Pearl, Pirate King, and Her Royal Majesty Jessalyn Alexa Sparrow the First, Right by Blood, of the Pirates of the Caribbean, Atlantic Ocean and all other Pirate Realms, Defender of all Pirate Territories, Pirate Queen.”
